Life - May 8th 2018

I keep promising myself that I'll write more for my blog.

I have a list of things I want to write scribbled on a piece of paper to my left, a few more lists in my phone's memos and not to mention the mental lists that are rattling around (no, no, they're rumbling around up there - too big to rattle).

Not only do I want to write for my blog, but I want to finish writing/revising the handful of novels I've started working on, to start keeping a journal and to write short reviews of everything I read and watch.

Those are the writing goals I entered 2018 with, so far I've only done a little of each.

Now, sitting in the dark staring at the blank screen in front of me - unrelated fact, Tim Allen sitcoms are streaming on my phone, probably the only thing keeping me awake at this point - and I realize that perhaps I could begin taking steps toward becoming the writer that I want to be by writing a little about my day to day stuff on here. Maybe it will eventually end up in my journal.

So, I've been off work for the past two days and have been working on filming footage around Harrison County, Ohio for a video application for a summer job I'm applying for in Iceland. I've got a few more places to film before I can edit it and turn it in.

If I don't get the job, I'll carry on with my initial summer plans of a 3 week road trip in June and camping at Alive Festival in July.

Tomorrow I work at both my gas station and Wendy's jobs. So, I'm going to need to sign off here and get some sleep.

A picture I grabbed out of my collection, from my visit to Hawaii last December.
